About Us

Northwest Indiana Pipes and Drums was formed in Valparaiso, Indiana, August, 2000.

Our purpose and objective is to foster an interest and appreciation for the great highland bagpipe and drumming.

The band proudly wears the Erskine tartan.

Band practice and lessons are held every week, alternating between Thursday and Friday.

All practices take place at the Chesterton Methodist Church MAC Center for the Boys and Girls Club.

The band participates in parades and performs many concerts.

As a member of the Midwest Pipe Band Association we enter band competitions throughout the midwest. The band recently moved to Grade III for the 2010 Season.

Many of our pipers and drummers also compete as soloists.
